PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE
Staff Scientist
Using multi-modal neuroimaging techniques to identify unique biomarkers of fronto-temporal dementia, Alzheimer's disease and healthy aging for both early diagnosis and treatment tracking purposes. Apart from independent research, I also support a team of graduate students and post-doctoral fellows in analyzing data, writing papers and grants, and designing projects.
2023 - Present
Postdoctoral Researcher
Applied higher-order diffusion imaging and neuroimaging data analysis techniques to study gray matter microstructure during development and adolescence. Other projects included leading the data release of a large-scale diffusion study of over 5000 children and adolescents, and managing a team of over 20 neuroimaging experts for quality assurance of the data. I also contributed to computational tools and software packages for processing and analyzing neuroimaging data, with a focus on diffusion MRI, as a part of the PennLINC Informatics Team.
2022-2023
Graduate Student Researcher
Led multiple 4-year research projects using diffusion MRI to study gray matter microstructure in aging and Alzheimer's Disease. Designed and analyzed data from 5 different research studies, and set up cross-species collaborations with multiple leaders in the field. Published studies include identifying novel and non-invasive biomarkers of healthy cognitive aging in humans, a pre-clinical trial demonstrating the potential of immunosuppressants in reducing Alzheimer's pathology in beagle brains, and a multimodal study correlating diffusion derivatives with histological measures in the mouse brain.
